Eye Contact is a thesis short film from Communication Art faculty at Assumption University,
produced by a team of fourth-year students.The story follows a man gifted with mind-reading ability, who always relies on his power to take advantage of the others. As he engage in a romantic relationship, he gradually realizes that there is something else the required in order to truly understand someone’s heart.
The main theme, Praew-Proud, meaning sparkling or dazzling while phonetically echoing “Proud” in English. This film’s concept explores the illusion of brillance and emotional ego that can distance individuals from authentic human connection.

As a Director of Photography, cooperating closely with the director is essential. The film’s visuals were developed to reflect different emotions according to each moment, while keeping the film engaging and appealing.
As a Cameraman, understanding how to operate a camera with differnt types of lenses helps in capturing visuals that align with intended mood of the film. Furthermore, having technical knowledge such as camera angles and composition also contributes to the overall quality of the story.
As an Editor, clarity of the story depends on the pacing and sequencing of each footage. Attention to details, like sound effects, ,music, and transition are another key factors that keep the consistency of mood & tone throughout the film.
